Olmec Photo 500 Series Printer

The OlmecTM Photo 500 Series is a range of D2T2TM (dye sublimation) printers - enabling ICI Imagedata to offer a complete, competitive package of hardware and matched media.

Every aspect of the package, including specially developed 250gsm photo imaging paper, has been designed to work together for optimum image quality and efficient production of instant, dry, stable images.

The OlmecTM Photo 500 Series Printer is robustly built for fast, reliable and long-life operation. With high capacity and roll-fed continuous edge to edge printing, it is ideal for professional photo applications, whether for integrated systems or stand-alone commercial imaging.

For photo imaging equipment, such as Photo Booths, Photo Kiosks and Ride Photographic Systems, the OlmecTM Photo 500 printer has a number of advantages. It is front loading, easy to to integrate and operate and requires minimal maintenance. And, thanks to new, improved engineering, the printer is also quieter to operate.

These qualities make the OlmecTM Photo 500 Series equally useful as a stand-alone imaging unit for studio or industrial photography, including studio ID.

Unlike wet processing, it gives instant results, allowing images to be sold immediately. And, unlike inkjet printing - which many commercial photographers are now using - it produces a long-lasting, photo realistic print with a comparable performance to silver halide. The special ICI Imagedata paper is also approved for official government documentation, such as passports, ID cards and driving licence's.

The OP600 will run with most PCs running Windows 2000/XP. A USB 2 interface ensures high speed data transfer. The printer also has a in-built memory buffer allowing multiple images to be loaded without delay.

UP-DR100

The UP-DR100 Digital Color Printer offers high-speed and large-volume printing via roll printing technology. Incorporating Sony's dye sublimation printing technology for image stability the UP-DR100 produces border-less 5 x 7 4 x 6 and 3 1/2 x 5 inch photo-quality prints.

High speed digital printer that prints 3.5x5, 4x6, or 5x7 sizes from paper on a roll. The prints are photo quality and border-less, and it prints at a rate of 20 seconds per 3x5 or 34 seconds for a 5x7. Equipped with a SCSI-2 interface and a 32 MB spool memory. Features front-loading operation and compact size for easy maintenance and setup. Paper and ribbon are equipped with an IC chip which indicates the number of prints remaining on a roll and prevents mismatching of different paper sizes and ribbons.
