Digital cameras have all but replaced traditional film
cameras in many areas, because of their ease of use, quality & convenience.
However, getting prints continues to pose problems. Users
can produce hard copy at home using a PC & colour printer,
but the results are rarely good, and media & inks are
very expensive. Alternatively, many traditional photo outlets
are offering a print service for digital images, but this
can be slow & does not really allow the customer to
choose which prints are needed: it's just an extension
of the normal film-processing route.
Camera phones allow users to take snapshots anywhere,
at any time, with maximum convenience. They can be used
to send these pictures via multimedia to friends & family,
but there is no accepted way of getting these pictures
onto paper.
The Integrex Mobile Media Kiosk range meets these needs
in units which can be placed in retail outlets, malls & office
areas.
Fast
The kiosks contain high speed digital colour printers,
each capable of producing a 6" x 4" print in
under 13 seconds. In the 4-printer system, the customer
is presented with a print every 3.25 seconds, meaning
that the equivalent of a roll of 36 exposures can be
delivered in less than 2 minutes.

The kiosks can accept all popular types of digital image

The customer merely inserts the card, chooses the pictures,
and collects the prints.
Best of all, it also connects wirelessly to Camera Phones,
over Bluetooth and Infrared. Following on-screen prompts,
the user just sends the image or images to the kiosk & collects
the prints without having to remove memory cards or make
a physical connection.
